Our Green Practices
Finding ways to use lumber by-product in finished materials like finger jointed shelving and other smaller component parts.
Unfinished lumber by-products provide a fuel source for heating homes in the local community.
Recycling sawdust so local farmers can use it for livestock bedding.
Our suppliers maintain certifications including Environmental Stewardship Program from KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufactures Association), Forestry Stewardship Council, Rainforest Alliance certification and support the Sustainable Forest Initiative.
The plywood cores that make up our cabinet case adhere to strict formaldehyde emissions standards as established by Environmental Stewardship Council. Our inventory from Columbia Forest Products is made with PureBond technology, to guarantee components and panels are assembled with no added urea formaldehyde adhesives.
Green Demolitions offers “Kitchen Closer” - a recycling program helping kitchen dealers sell more kitchens. “Kitchen Closer” is a free program that offers tax savings, free removal, and no disposal for qualified kitchens donated to Green Demolitions. To start the process, kitchen designers e-mails pictures and Green Demolitions does all the rest!
