Drury Design wins Transitional Category

Drury Design wins Transitional Category

For Grabill’s 2010 Home Collections Design Competition, Gail Drury received an honorable mention in the Traditional category, a definite nod to Gail’s ability to create quality designs that stand the test of time. But Gail is a double threat, as she also took top honors in the Transitional Category.

Gail – with co-designer Ginny Blasco – created a two room space of kitchen and bar with a cohesive “Beaux Arts” style. Gail and Ginny used several Grabill products in different areas of the kitchen to achieve this look. The Grabill cabinetry products Gail and Ginny used included:

1) In the Perimeter Cabinetry – Madison Square full overlay doors in quarter-sawn white oak with a frameless construction and featuring a hand-rubbed Abby Brown finish for the perimeter cabinetry

2) On the Island and tall angled cabinetry – a gorgeous custom paint and high gloss combination in soft green on the Ultima Option A cabinetry style in Maple with frameless construction.

The judging panel cited Gail and Ginny’s transitional cabinetry design as an outstanding an example of how to modernize a traditional space. To see all three winners (Modern, Transitional, and Traditional) announced at the 2011 KBIS in Las Vegas – click here.
